2015 Tab.Com.Au Stakes Group 2 October 31 - Flemington

Courtesy of Racingandsports.com.au - 01/11/15. Eclair Choice wins 2015 Tab.Com.Au Stakes Group 2 $300,000 at Flemington (VIC), 1200m.

South Australian-trained Eclair Choice began quickly and soon crossed from his wide barrier (11) to take the lead. He then steadied the pace noticeably (first 600m 35.80), picked up the tempo from the 600m (33.54) and fought back strongly for a very good win. It was also an excellent ride by Dominic Tourneau.

Hot Snitzel settled well outside the leader (Eclair Choice) and fought well in the sprint home to hold second place, putting up a sound performance. Dothraki travelled well in fifth spot, near the leaders and battled on nicely for third.

Delectation was ninth on the rails, behind a slow early pace. He pushed into clear running at the 200m and came with a late-closing run for (1.1 lengths) fourth, being disadvantaged by the slow early tempo.

Generalife raced behind the leader and fought on for a close-up fifth in the sprint home while favourite Under The Louvre was seventh on the rails and was also disadvantaged by the slow early pace and was untested in finishing (2.2 lengths) sixth.
