Race a Quality Doubtland Filly with Stokes Racing
We’re excited to offer shares in a strong, compact, and athletic daughter of Doubtland, purchased from the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale by respected bloodstock agent Suman Hedge, with a firm tick of approval on type from the Stokes Racing team.
This filly is by Widden Stud’s first-season sire Doubtland, a stallion we believe is well and truly on an upward curve.
From just 11 runners to date, he’s already sired four winners, including our own city winner Tom, who amassed $107,325 in earnings during his first racing prepartion.
We’re also thrilled with Sassy For Sure, another exciting prospect by Doubtland who charged home to run second on debut at Caulfield. She’s now been tipped out with bigger targets in mind for the spring.
And this filly is a spitting image of Sassy For Sure, both on type and looks!
Why Doubtland?
- Unbeaten Group-winning 2YO, including the Kindergarten Stakes by the biggest margin ever for a colt
- G2 Danehill Stakes winner and placed 4th in the G1 Coolmore as a spring 3YO
- Sold for $1.1 million – the highest-priced Not A Single Doubt yearling of 2019
- Pedigree loaded with precocity and quality – from the family of Golden Slipper winners Rory’s Jester and Ha Ha
- His first yearlings have sold up to $220,000, a reflection of strong market confidence
On the Dam Side
This filly is out of a winning Bernardini mare, offering a proven blend of speed and stamina. She hails from a black-type family that includes Rose Darmore, who was Group-placed in the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) – a key juvenile lead-up race on the calendar.
With Stokes Racing’s proven track record of developing elite horses, and early signs that Doubtland is delivering in the breeding barn, this filly shapes as an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to race a value filly with serious upside.
